Thank you for pointing out that while hex-head cap screws are more frequently used in automotive and heavy equipment applications, hex-head bolts are frequently utilized in construction and heavy machinery applications. I’ve always struggled to distinguish between the two, so I’m relieved that I can now. Given that my uncle was considering utilizing a hex head bolt for a project at work, I’ll be sure to let him know about this. I’ll look into the resources available to him to obtain one.
